30 Hours

Dear Parents

30 hours free childcare

This term, we are encouraging parents who want to take up a 30 hours place in the summer term to apply now – and before the end of February, to get their code in good time. HMRC sometimes needs more information from the parent to check whether they’re eligible, so parents should allow time for this.

Contact Ally if your child was born between 1 January 2015 and 31 March 2015, I can run you through the procedure!

I would also be grateful if I can remind parents who already have an eligibility code to reconfirm their eligibility for 30 hours every 3 months: you need to either take a screen shot and text this through to me or forward the email confirmation to me.  Thanks ALLY

Staff news

Zoe has accepted a new role in a nursery in Edenbridge.  We were able to offer her earlier leave giving her a couple of weeks off before she starts in post.  There was no need for Zoe to do a handover to a new member of staff because we have our team in place.  We understand her leaving sooner will not enable longer goodbyes for parents and children.  Although,  Zoe had spoken with families personally and is able to contact others directly also.  The earlier exit to some extent lends itself to moving things along with the Sunflower and Buttercups rooms with the longer term in mind.

Laura has made a massive impact in both rooms and will now take over all of the children’s educational aspect in Sunflower and Buttercup rooms.  We have changed operations a little this week which adheres to parents desires of avoiding the two-room split (which came up in the Room Reps’ meeting recently).  This has reduced the time of each room operating in isolation, with the reintroductions of joint meal and sleep times.  This seems sensible especially as the two rooms become one in six months for the rest of the children’s time here at nursery.

The rest of the team who are there to support Laura remain in place and are as you know.  Tia, Courteney, Jack, Ani and Runa.  Sunflower and Buttercup rooms operate with the most members of staff and being the middle rooms of the nursery they will always benefit from staff moving up into the rooms and down into these rooms.  Therefore, other team members who know the rooms and children will be seen there but not as regularly as the core team stated.

Over the years Zoe has shown her motivation for the yellow team and been quite inspirational with her way with parents.  Something for staff members here now and those who join us to aspire to.

We wish Zoe the best with her future career.

February Fees

Please can I put a shout out for the February fees to be paid today.  These are due by 6  pm today and I have nearly half of the nursery outstanding.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
